God was at work this afternoon at the Nashville Rescue Mission through our volunteers. We were blessed to be joined by three Belmont Law students, Cal Bowen, Brittany Dinaso, and Elaheh Ziglari. Board member Chuck Cline also joined attorneys Will Burns, Parker Brown, and Nick Tidwell to meet with seven men who are trying to get their lives on the right track. Lots of legal stumbling blocks can get in their way. Sometimes it is figuring out how to get a driver’s license reinstated so they can get back to work. Other times it is figuring out how to take care of their responsibilities to their children. Our job is simply to pray with them, show them we care, and give them some direction in navigating those hurdles. All the while, we point to a God who cares about them and their problems and has a wonderful plan for their lives.
